Vacation Snapshots-The Grand Canyon, North Rim

Well...here are the images of our vacation to Zion, Grand Canyon and Bryce! Our first stop this year was on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. And I DO mean ON THE RIM! We got to camp RIGHT at the edge! In these pictures you can see where our side stops and where the far side appears across the canyon. It was a little nerve wracking for me the crazy mom who has all sorts of visions of her children tumbling off the edge of the Grand Canyon and falling to their deaths...but for the most part it was totally cool!
In addition to getting to camp on the edge, so to speak, we got to do some great hiking. The Noth Rim was just beautiful. We hiked a couple of miles down into it. Clara, was yet again NOT amused by the trail of mule poop that dotted our path and complained loudly and often...but for the most part we really enjoyed being there in the awesomeness of the canyon. We had two nights here.


Of course, NONE of these pictures even begin to capture the beauty of the Canyon or the awesome expansiveness of it all...but there is not much I can do about that! Here are a couple of more from the canyon.
