Surgery Update

Well, I am blogging this from the surgical lobby waiting area at TMC. They took Ben into surgery an hour and 15 minutes ago. He handled all of the initial processing SO well! He seemed at ease and not too uptight about it all. I was plenty uptight and nervous for the both of us! They started his I.V. which was the worst part of the morning...but even that was only a quick stick of numbing medication and he felt nothing else. They gave him something in his I.V. right before they wheeled him away and he was quite loopy and relaxed as they headed off to the O.R. At the Urologist office when we had our appointment they told me it was a quick and simple 30 minute procedure. Then in the surgical pre-op this morning they told us it was about an hour procedure. Then we checked in at the surgical lobby desk they told us it was about a 2 hour procedure. So we have no idea how long our little buddy is actually to be in there for. But at the one hour and 20 minute mark we have heard nothing!
